Abstract

Objective Presenting of 6 cases with tuberous sclerosis complex being surgically treated, to observe the clinical effects after 18-30 months follow-up. Method We retrospectively analyze the clinical data of 6 cases with tuberous sclerosis complex. Different operations had been made based on the pre-operation evaluations, including the semiologies, CT, MRI, VEEG, PET, MEG and regular follow-up (18-30 months) was made. Through the synthetical estimations, in 3 cases the tubers which conducted epilepsy seizure were resected with navigation and the low power heat burn was made;in 2 cases the tubers were resected after subdural electrodes implantation;in 1 case anterior callosotomy was made. Results In the follow-up term,2 cases epilepsy seizured free, 1 case occasionally epilepsy seizured,3 cases the seizure frequencies were reduced. Conclusions The operations are effective to control or reduce the epilepsy seizure which is conducted by tuberous sclerosis complex.
