Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy of the surgery for congenital unilateral superior oblique palsy. Methods The medical records of 124 patients that underwent surgery for congennital unilateral superior oblique palsy from Oct. 2014 to Dec.2015 at Shanxi Eye Hospital were retrospectively reviewed. The chinical feature, the surgical procedures and efficacy were analyzed. Results The patients were followed up for 5-14 months after surgery. There were 110 cases recovered(88.71%), 12 cases improved(9.68%), and 2 cases invalid(1.61%). Conclusion Surgery is an effective method for congenital superior oblique palsy, the effectiveness rate is over 98%. Key words: Superior oblique palsy, congenital, unilateral; Surgery; efficacy
