Abstract

In demonstrating that the future of collective bargaining depends upon maxinum flexibility in adjusting to changing times and conditions, Professor Fleming critically examines the present scope of mandatory bargaining subjects and the role of governmental intervention in the bargaining process with respect to voluntary demands. The author clearly defines the inconsistent results of recent cases which must be resolved in the interest of preserving wide latitude in good faith negotiations without governmental interference.
