Abstract
Neurosyphilis refers to a chronic infectious disease caused by Treponema pallidum (TP) infection of the central nervous system. The clinical manifestations of neurosyphilis are varied, and the misdiagnosis rate is very high. Particularly when combined with HIV infection, clinical manifestations and laboratory examination of neurosyphilis become more complicated. Currently, there is still no gold standard for the diagnosis of neurosyphilis. Clinical manifestations, laboratory examination, imaging examination and other aspects should be included in the comprehensine analysis of neurosyphilis. Penicillin is still the first choice for the treatment of neurosyphilis. This paper reviews the research progress on the diagnosis and treatment of neurosyphilis, so as to strengthen the understanding of neurosyphilis. DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1672-6731.2016.07.004
