Abstract

The direct production of a neutralino with a gluino through quark-antiquark annihilation in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider is evaluated for three different scenarios called gaugino-like, Higgsino-like and mixture-case in the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. The dependences of total cross section for the neutralino-gluino production on the center-of-mass energy and the gluino mass are numerically analyzed. It is obvious from the numerical results that the total cross section is significantly dependent on the gaugino/Higgsino decomposition of the neutralinos, and its largest values are usually reached when the neutralino has a dominant gaugino component.
