Abstract
Nitrogen-containing components occupy a special place among heterocyclic petroleum compounds. Having a number of specific properties, they take part in the formation of supermolecular structures in petroleum synthesis, influence oil production and catalytic processing and represent a risk for the surrounding medium because of possible carcinogenic properties. At the same time valuable properties of nitrogen compounds are recognized. The chemical structure of high MW nitrogen bases from three West Siberian crude oils is considered here.
