Abstract

With the advent of the second drive theory, the concept of narcissism in psychoanalytic discourse expanded significantly. In addition to the libidinal aspect, a destructive one appeared. The report examines the nature of des tructive narcissism, the stages of formation of the destructive part of the narcissistic self, where it can lead the patient and the analyst, and the possibilities of analyzing narcissistic patients with destructive aspects of the self.
