Abstract

This chapter examines the place and nature of special revelation in Theodore Beza's theology. It explains that Beza affirms the doctrine of a two-fold knowledge of God whereby he expresses an appreciation for God's self-disclosure in creation. He also believes that special revelation is the most certain medium of the knowledge of God and that special revelation and the ‘Word of God’ are virtually synonymous with the Holy Scripture.
