Abstract
The National Library was established in Ankara in 1946. The National Library is used daily by approximately 1 500 users. They can utilize four reading and researching halls with a capacity of 700 persons. The National Library arranges and publishes the Turkey Bibliography, Turkey Articles Bibliography and miscellaneous catalogues as required by its statutes. In the collection of National Library there are 26 100 manuscripts and 56 220 printed books written with old Turkish letters. The National Library has very significant missions to fulfill such as supervising the libraries in Turkey.
