Abstract

Background: A urinary tract infection (UTI) is a common disease which invades the kidneys, urethra and bladder. Females are more affected than males, with more than 60% of females diagnosed with a UTI in their lifetime. The objective of this study was to explore patient narratives of providing urine specimens for diagnosing and detecting the presence of a UTI.
