Abstract

We study the form of the N and Δδ trajectories using the triple-Regge kinematic-limit formalism for the inclusive reactions pp → π+X+, pp → π-X+++, π-p → pX and π-p → X0n. We find that the first two reactions give very low-lying N and Δδ trajectories, whereas the last two reactions give very high-lying N and Δδ trajectories, compared to the trajectories given by the Chew-Frautschi plot. We conclude that with the existing experimental information the study of the above reactions relies very much duality arguments.
