Abstract
The neutron capture cross section of 197Au was measured at 30 and 64 keV neutron energy using the activation method. Two different methods were used at 30 keV for the absolute neutron flux determination. The results are σ n,γ Au (30 keV) = (0600 ± 0·009) barn and σ n,γ Au (64 keV) = (0·357 ± 0·009) barn.
