Abstract
Multiple live-feed moulding ( mlfm ) has been used to modify fibre orientation distributions in injection moulded dough moulding compounds ( dmcs ). Modifications of the process and the conditions used to enhance the mechanical properties of mouldings, especially mouldings containing internal weld lines, are described. The mlfm process is shown to provide an effective route for the management of fibres in moulded dmc s.
