Abstract
The article presents information about recent organizational solutions and events in the sphere of book business , including the development of libraries as cultural centres , abolition of age marking for educational editions , the introduction of normative dictionaries of the Russian literary language , the foundation of the Association of Presidential Libraries for CIS members and the Cooperation Council meeting of national libraries of Russia.
