Abstract
The article presents information about recent organizational solutions and events in the sphere of book business, such as: the development of libraries as cultural centres, including the new regional subjects of the Russian Federation; using of recommendatory bibliography of literature for children; acquisition of library collections for INION RAS; science and research activities of the central regional libraries. It is told about changes in the library legislation, aims and purposes of Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for 2023 in the sphere of librarianship.
