Introduction

In the current dynamic global business environment, competition is growing and every organization is exposed to it (Cavusgil & Knight, 2015). Banks need to build procedures and tools to face these difficulties by enhancing their employee performance (EP) to survive economic hardships (Al-Ettayyem & Zu’bi, 2015). Human resources management is one of the most important activities related to the management of an organization and is considered a cornerstone of most organizations (Jiang, Hu, Liu, & Lepak, 2017). It aims to strengthen organizational capabilities by enabling organizations to attract as well as to qualify the skills necessary to keep up with current and future challenges and success (Jiang et al, 2017). This study aimed to analyze the effect of ES on EP and to examine the effect of OC as a moderator in their relationship in Jordanian Islamic banks
