Abstract

The model of development of engineering personnel on the example of South Korean companies is considered. The shortcomings and advantages of modern approaches to the formation and management of the professional competences of engineering personnel are discussed. Recommendations are proposed for improving the competence model in the con-text of the globalization of industrial economies. The article examines the development trends of human resources in high-tech industries by the example of South Korea. The author reveals the advantages and disadvantages of the existing model, explores the international experience of managing competences and gives recommendations. The process of transformation of the competence approach in the conditions of dynamically developing external environment is investigated. Trends in the development of a new era of industrial revolution are explored, new prospects for the development of world and domestic production and technologies are emerging.
