Abstract

Aiming at the problem of sensor node deployment in underwater wireless sensor networks(UWSNs), the doublecoverage algorithm is proposed to solve the premature failure caused by excessive energy consumption. First of all, the coverage area of node is divided into grid around the mobile sensor network with AUV. Then the sensor node is analyzed to design the sensor node sensing model and the sensor node mobility model. Further, the double-coverage algorithm is proposed based on mobile node deployment in underwater wireless sensor networks. Finally, the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulation experiments. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can ensure no vulnerability coverage and reduce the energy consumption and extra area sensed of mobile sensor nodes. At the same time, the average energy consumption of mobile nodes in the network is evenly distributed under the same conditions and to a certain extent. The algorithm reduces the number of mobile nodes, which can save the cost.
