Abstract
Electroconductivity measurements were performed on liquid immiscible (In x Tl 1− x ) 0.80Se 0.20, (In x Tl 1− x ) 0.80Te 0.20 and In 0.80(Se x Te 1− x ) 0.20 alloys at temperatures up to 1200 K under ambient pressures of argon gas (up to 50 MPa). The electroconductivity shows the same dependence as binary liquid alloys which have a metal–non-metal transition during the mixing–demixing process. Many-sectional measuring cell allows simultaneous determination of the electroconductivities of both separated liquids in entire range of the miscibility gap. It was revealed that variation of Se–Te ratio at constant content of metal as well as variation of Tl–In ratio at constant content of chalcogen change the properties of coexisting liquids and affect the temperature of phase separation. The results are analyzed in comparison with available data for binary and ternary immiscible In–Se, In–Te, Tl–Se, Tl–Te and Tl–Se–Te system alloys.
