Abstract

The ‘gas-like’ model of viscosity for liquid alloys is examined in evaluation for the viscosity of binary and ternary liquid alloys of Ag, Au and Cu. The detail procedure to evaluate the viscosity of multi-component liquid alloys is given. The model predicts the overall experimental data of the viscosities for Ag–Au–Cu liquid alloys consistently with those for the component atomic liquid metals and the respective binary liquid alloys.
