Abstract

AbstractThe author develops a methodology for assessing in actual money terms the benefits derived from a multi-purpose river-management project by the various components of the project: power generation, flood control, irrigation, fisheries and transportation. The example used is the Mingechaur project on the Kura River in the Transcaucasian republic of Azerbaydzhan.
