Abstract

The article focuses on the quality control of students' knowledge in a distance learning system for mathematics and natural science disciplines cycle by introducing into the learning process of methodical system of controlling knowledge and readiness for professional work. One of the promising solutions to this problem is the use of information and communication technologies to search for the ways improving the effectiveness of the educational process. The article describes theoretical aspects of the learning control and methodological model used in practice. Methodological basics of the research and its tasks determined the procedure of the experimental work which was carried out in the period from 2013 to 2015 at the Institute for Food Technologies and Design. The pedagogical experiment confirmed that the use of methodical system of monitoring the quality of teaching mathematics and natural science disciplines and the formation of general and professional competencies of university students in distance education system improves the quality of knowledge of mathematics and natural science. The analysis of the results was made according to a fixed scheme. It made possible to determine the actions of teachers relating to methods of teaching, level of training programs and the success of students in the subject area.
