HALL is an assistant professor of mathematics at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. She received a B.A. in ancient Greek from Haverford College in 1991 and a Ph.D. in mathematics from the Pennsylvania State University in 1999. Her field of research is operator algebras. She is also a folk musician and plays English concertina and piano with the trio Simple Gifts. Their award-winning 1999 album Time and Again has received international airplay. In 1991, Rachel received a Watson Fellowship to study traditional dance music in Norway, which is where she first encountered the willow flute.Krešimir JosićKREŠIMIR JOSIĆ is a visiting assistant professor of mathematics at Boston University. He received a B.Sc. in physics and mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994 and a Ph.D. in mathematics from the Pennsylvania State University in 1999. His main research interest is applications of the theory of dynamical systems. He is also a jazz bass player.
