Abstract

The article is about peculiarities of people`s perception of mass information, broadcasted by modern media sources. Certain issues of the transformation of the modern system of mass communication were considered. Features of mass information traffic through the network were described. Peculiarities of the submission and perception of the mass media are also grounded in terms of the mass communicative process itself, - through probabilistic synergy of various models of mass communication. Particular attention is paid to the two-step flow of communication model, introduced by Paul Lazarsfeld. His inferences regarding the fact that the information received through personal channels is different compared to the information, received through mass communication sources, are relevant in the terms of social media impact issues.
