Abstract
Enacted on 26 January 1996, the Trust Law, which prescribes the formation, and structure, as well as rights and duties of trustees and beneficiaries, is the bedrock and fundamental regulatory scheme of trusts in Taiwan. This article will introduce the legal regime of Trust Law in Taiwan and explore the main features of Trust Law in Taiwan. In addition, it will introduce practical issues of offshore trusts created by Taiwanese citizens, discusses a real case of offshore trust, and explains the validity of choice of law clause.
