The multiracial population in the U.S. increased by nearly 400% between 2000 and 2020. Educators must respond to our nation’s changing demographics by supporting our multiracial students, which begins with recognizing this population’s unique strengths and challenges. One way to validate their experiences is by incorporating works with multiracial protagonists into classroom literature.
