Abstract
The decay scheme for the nucleus 103Rh has been studied and revised. The excited states were populated either through the Coulomb excitation of 103Rh or through the nuclear reaction. 103Rh(p, p′) 103∗Rh. The B(E2) values have been extracted from the Coulomb excitation data. The proposed level scheme is discussed in terms of a vibrational model for 103Rh, in which it is assumed that most of the negative-parity states arise from the coupling of a 2 p 1 2 proton to the vibrational states of the neighbouring doubley even core nucleus.
