 Our research will attempt to analyze the phenomenon of long vowels in Western Algerian dialects; In fact, the choice of the region limits the examples presented in the research folds only; All dialects of the Islamic Maghreb share this characteristic. What are the types of long vowels in the Maghreb dialects? What is the reason for their abundance in these dialects?
