The L/K electron capture ratio in the decay of 65Zn to the 1.114 MeV excited state of 65Cu

Abstract

The L/K electron capture ratio in the excited state decay branch of 65Zn has been measured directly by internal-source scintillation-counter techniques. The value for the ratio is 0.117 ± 0.007; comparison is made with determinations by other methods and the degree of correspondence of the result with theoretical predictions is discussed.
