Abstract

Alice Munro envisage son œuvre comme le resultat permanent d’un echec de la mise en mot et elle ecrit des nouvelles qui sont constamment soumises a des processus de changements, qui se caracterisent par l’ellipse narrative et le palimpseste elusif. Cet essai examine l’utilisation que fait Munro du langage dans son premier recueil, Dance of the Happy Shades, a partir d’une methodologie poststructuraliste. Le travail theorique de Julia Kristeva sert de base de reference a l’etude des textes, en particulier ses ecrits sur la dimension semiotique du langage.
