Abstract

Outdoor Learning Model is a strategy that can be an alternative for teachers in the classroom because it is assumed to be able to increase the quality of the teaching and learning process. The writer hopes this strategy can challenge the college students for making something creative and productive. Outdoor Learning model can improve the information, open diverse insights into thinking can learn various concepts and how to link them to the real world so that learning outcomes enhance the ability of creativity and innovation. This research used quantitative research. This research is to create an Outdoor Learning model in writing creative and innovative literature. To achieve that goal, the method used in this study is the development method or Research and Development (RND) of Gall and Borg (2003). The specific target to be achieved in this study is the creation of a creative learning model and innovation for Indonesian Language Study Program students at various Universities in Palembang with the following specifications: (1) learning objectives in accordance with the Curriculum; (2) Independent learning with or without lectures; and (3) development of creative writing skills and innovation for students. Relevant to the method used in this study, the activities carried out include (1) observation of teaching and learning activities in the classroom and outside the classroom: (2) selection of literary results into teaching material; (3) preparation of learning models; (4) testing of learning models; (5) evaluation of trial results; and (6) revision of the learning model.
