Abstract
The quasi-stationary evaporation (and condensation) of a spherical droplet suspended in a non-equilibrium vapour-gas mixture is investigated. The isothermal and non-isothermal heat and mass transfer in a surrounding gas are described on the basis of the Boltzmann equation solution by the integral-moment method. The kinetic coefficients are calculated at arbitrary Kn numbers and any accomodation coefficients. Using the kinetic coefficients obtained, the evaporation of a droplet in an optical radiation field is described.
