Abstract

Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equation is derived for unmagnetized hot dust plasmas. It suggests that the nonlinear dust acoustic solitary waves in a hot dusty plasma are stable even there are some higher order transverse perturbations. There are only rarefactive solitary waves in hot dust plasmas which has been verified analytically in this paper.
