Abstract

I HAVE appreciated the honor of being president of the Poultry Science Association. It might have been a more exciting year had there been more burning issues, or something to crusade about, but this year's responsibilities were fairly routine. I received suggestions from several members about matters of the Association. These were helpful. Not all of them were acted upon or carried out since there is always a diversity of opinion.The matters I wish to speak about today are those of concern to the Association. None are new, nor are they likely to be easily resolved.QUALITY OF PAPERSThis subject is in the memory of all assembled here. I am certain that the majority of the papers are at least good to excellent. It is the awful minority that causes our concern. Every once in awhile some maneuver or another is proposed to bring about an improvement in .
