Abstract

The isotherms of ethanol sorption on chitosan were obtained in chromatographic experiments under dynamic conditions using the procedure developed by us and on an adsorption unit with an electromagnetic vacuum balance under static conditions. The chromatographic isotherm was shown to correspond to the reversible component of the interaction of ethanol with polysaccharide, whereas the overall isotherm obtained under static conditions was irreproducible and did not correspond to an equilibrium process.
