Abstract
An analysis of quantitative X-ray powder diffraction intensity data has been made with the purpose of determining the ionic distribution in Gd 3Al 3Fe 2O 12 and Y 3Al 3Fe 2O 12. It has been found that the exact distribution cannot be determined in this manner. However, the distribution recently deduced by Geller is compatible with the results of the X-ray analysis.
