Abstract
The International Forestry Resources and Institutes' (IFRI) Collaborating Research Centers conduct case studies of specific forests. Through training programs at the University of Michigan, Indiana University, and the Asian Institute of Technology, IFRI scholars and trainees learn consistent data collection methods to assure comparability. The data they collect is organized into a unique database that contains information on more than 250 sites in fifteen countries.
