Abstract
On Thursday, July 28, about 100 delegates from 29 different countries assembled at the Unesco House in Paris for a conference on physics education. The conference was initially proposed by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics. It was organized by an international committee under the chairmanship of Professor S. C. Brown, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, U.S.A., and with Mr. N. Clarke of The Institute of Physics as secretary.
