Abstract
We study dynamical systems with a dual Poisson bracket structure from the lagrangian point of view. We show that the condition for integrability corresponds to the vanishing of the Nijenhuis tensor. The conserved quantities are obtained in closed form and the Lax equation as well as the higher order equations in the hierarchy are also presented.
