Abstract

The paper deals with the problems of integration of local control systems for partial technologies to hierarchically composed information systems. It presents experience and knowledge gained in control and information systems building and operation in the coking plant of Nová hut' Steel Works, Ostrava, Czech Republic, anddiscusses some problems occurring particularly in their integration. In connection to the history background, it considers development of the control systems implementation and benefits of application of advanced information technologies, especially for partial technological control systems integration.
