Abstract

Urine volume, pH, 17-ketosteroids, hexosamines, Cl, K, Na and urea of a 50 years old male subject were determined during 4 years (1959–1963) and of 2 adult male and 2 female subjects during shorter periods. These data were correlated with meteorological conditions at Leiden, The Netherlands, in particular air temperature and cooling conditions (air temperature, humidity and air movement). Significant correlations were found which may have diagnostic value in determining the efficiency of the thermoregulation mechanism.
