Abstract

The conditions in the world of education, particularly in the role of teachers as teaching staff, have failed to meet expectations for teachers with competence in their field to realize the dream of national education goals in creating students with achievements and character who can make the community, nation, and state proud. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of Teacher Competency on Interest in Learning, determine how much influence Teacher Competency has on Interest in Learning, and examine techniques for enhancing students' interest in learning through Teacher Competency. The method employed is descriptive analysis, including random sampling and data gathering techniques that include observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis strategy employs the product moment correlation method. The research results showed that the correlation coefficient was 0.785, or 78.5%, while the termination coefficient was 0.617 or 61.7%.
