Abstract
It is an established fact that concrete is very good in compression but weak in tension. Addition of fibers in concrete can solve this problem. A good amount of research work on FRC has proved that incorporating different types of fibers such as metallic and non-metallic fibers like steel, synthetic, glass, carbon and steel in plain concrete use of fibres to concrete enhances the toughness, strength, post-cracking resistance, ductility etc. Fibers can also be used to restrain the damaging effects of shrinkage. The fresh and hardened properties of concrete specimens are determined through this study by casting cube specimens. For all the tests conducting, cube specimens of size 150 mm × 150 mm × 150 mm are cast without and with hybrid fiber in High Strength Self Compacting Concrete with Red Mud. The current research is to investigate the physical durability of Self Compacting Concrete and of Hybrid Fibrous High Strength Self Compacting Concrete (HFHSSCC) based on the fresh and hardened properties.KeywordsFresh and hardened propertiesRed mudWorkabilitySelf-compacting concrete
