Abstract
Abstract This research was motivated by the low proficiency in underhand serves among the women's volleyball team of Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of push-ups on the accuracy of underhand serves in this team. The research employed a quantitative experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The subjects consisted of 10 female students from the university's volleyball team. Data collection methods included pretests, the intervention (push-up training), and posttests. Data analysis involved tests for normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. Based on the posttest results, the implementation of push-up exercises successfully increased arm muscle strength among the volleyball team members, thereby improving their underhand serving accuracy. The hypothesis testing results showed that Sig. (2-tailed), 0.000 < α, 0.05, indicating rejection of Ho and acceptance of Ha. Therefore, the statistical hypothesis conclusion is that push-ups have an influence on the accuracy of underhand serves in the women's volleyball team of Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. Keywords: Push Up, Underhand Serve, Arm Muscle
