Abstract

The principle of diversity of land ownership forms should be linked to the principles of equivalent exchange, economic efficiency and social justice. In the work, with the help of analysis, synthesis and provisions presented in scientific papers, the theoretical aspects of the influence of land ownership forms on land use in agriculture are revealed. The study shows that the use of agricultural land under different forms of ownership gives the following results: private land ownership in the agricultural sector promotes interest in efficient agriculture, rational use of land; private group form of land ownership promotes economic efficiency, preservation of soil fertility and social efficiency through the distribution of land rent in society; state and municipal ownership of agricultural land can contribute to economic efficiency and promotes social efficiency. The authors see in the future the development of a variety of land ownership forms in agriculture of the Russian Federation, while there will be a tendency to increase the area of agricultural land owned by the municipality, legal entities and a reduction in the area of agricultural land owned by the state and citizens.
