The Influence of Motivational Learning, Learning Achievement, Parental Socio-Economic Status, and School Environment on Interest in Continuing Education to Universities in Vocational High School Students in Indonesia

Abstract

This research aims to determine if there is an influence between learning motivation, learning achievement, socio-economic status of parents and school environment towards continuing interest in education to college in high school students Vocational in Indonesia. This study was conducted for 3 months from April to June 2019. The research methods used are quantitative research methods. The population in this research is the students of vocational High school in Indonesia, both from class X, XI, and XII. The data collection techniques used by researchers in this research are by spreading polls or questionnaires. From a target of 200 questionnaires filled, there were 224 received questionnaires. From 224 received, 200 can be processed. Data processing in this study uses SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) version 22 using validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, classical assumption tests, multiple regression equations, hypothesis tests and coefficients Determination. The results showed that the learning motivation variables and the school environment had no influence on the continuing interest of education to college in Vocational high school students, while the learning achievement variables and status Parental socio-economic has an influence on the continuing interest of education to colleges in vocational high school students. As well as there is a significant and co-influence between learning motivation, learning achievement, parental socio-economic status, and school environment towards continuing education to the college in Vocational high school students.
