Abstract
Angular contact ball bearings are commonly used when high stiffness of the bearing is needed. However, a significant stiffness increase can be achieved only through introducing preload (mounting tightness) to the system of angular ball bearings. The aim of the study is to determine how the location of a plane of a load influences the selection of preload in a system of angular contact ball bearings, and, in consequence, the durability of the bearing.
