Abstract
The use of beta-mimetic drugs to suppress preterm labor may be associated with an elevation of serum glucose, a fall in serum potassium, a decline in hematocrit and an accumulation of lactic acid. The current study was designed to assess the impact of the content of administered IV solutions on these changes.
