Abstract

Innovation is an essential aspect in today’s business ecosystem. It has a direct and far-reaching impact on areas of business operations as well as results. One of the pertinent areas that needs a study is the aspect of employees, their behaviour and their engagement in the context of innovation culture. Thus, this study has addressed this research area by studying the drivers of employee’s cognitive and psychological system and their linkage to innovation culture in the organisation. Along with drawing academic foundations through cognitive and organisational theories, the industry practices have also been discussed. The study proposes a framework to bring out the linkage and implications for organisational leaders to further build those areas in the organisation that enhance employee engagement through the themes of innovation.
