Abstract
The aim of this study was to evaluate the fracture resistance of endodontically treated premolars. Six extracted intact mandibular premolars were divided into 3 groups (n=2). All teeth had (MOD) mesio - occlusal -distal preparation + endodontic treatment + composite resin restoration (CR), and one of the groups received glass fiber post + CR. The specimens were loaded on a cusp slope until fracture and then had the values measured. In spite of is known that the loss of dental structure and the presence of fiber post restoration reduced fracture resistance in the tooth-restoration complex, there was no statistically significant difference between the groups in this study.
